The work includes providing labor, equipment, and material for the Proposed Leighton Collection System Upgrade & Rehabilitation Project - Contract 4- Leighton Lift Stations Upgrades Project - CWSRF Project NO. CS010853-02. The principal items of work are detailed herein below: 1. Upgrade three (3) Sewer Lift Stations with Pumps, Control Panels; Valve Assembly and Miscellaneous Items. 2. Electrical Connections. 3. Installation of Bypass Piping at two (2) Lift Stations. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Plans, specifications, and contract documents are available for inspection at the office of the owner or can be obtained from the engineers upon payment of the cost of printing and production. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each for 100% of the bid amount, and must secure bonds from a representative or agent in the State of Alabama. The contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsible, and responsive bidder. No bid may be withdrawn after bids are opened. The owner may hold the bids for up to sixty days and reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality, and accept any bid considered advantageous. Time is of the essence, with a total of 110 consecutive calendar days allowed for completion, subject to liquidated damages if the contract time is exceeded. Extensions must be approved prior to the contract completion date. Funds for the project are provided through Clean Water State Revolving Funds, and all applicable federal guidelines must be met. There will not be a pre-bid meeting.
