Bidders must supply the following information with their request for documents: the contract(s) you are bidding on, company name, contact person, complete address, phone and cellular numbers, and email address. Documents will be available Monday, September 30,2024. Contracts 5: To bid the Project, prospective bidders must obtain the Contract Documents in PDF format directly from CHA, (deiQchasolutions. com) upon request, accompanied by a non-refundable fee of fifty dollars ($50.00). Question Deadline 11/05/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed as listed below. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the Architect in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Architect and/or Construction Manager as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. All questions must be submitted in writing as follows. Hazardous materials removal bidding as a concurrent project 2. Selective demolition 3. Building construction for new addition 4. Renovations 5. Associated site work The Work under the Plumbing Construction Contract includes all construction and other activities traditionally recognized as plumbing work required by any of the Contract Documents including, but not limited to, the P series Plumbing drawings, FP series Fire Protection drawings, specification Divisions 00, 01, 21, 22, and portions of divisions 02, 03, 07, 11, 12, 13, 31, and 33 as required to complete contract work except when specifically assigned to another contract for construction. Work in the Plumbing Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Selective demolition of existing plumbing systems, equipment, and accessories as noted on drawings and as required for renovation work. Disconnect and cap all utilities to plumbing fixtures and equipment noted to be removed. 2. Sanitary drain and vent piping systems. 3. Grease waste drainage piping system and exterior below grade grease interceptor including final connection to sanitary sewer 5' beyond grease interceptor. Refer to Multiple Prime Coordination Clarifications. 4. Acid resistant drainage piping system and exterior below grade acid neutralization tank including final connection to sanitary sewer 5' beyond acid neutralization tank. Refer to Multiple Prime Coordination Clarifications. 5. Interior Rain water/storm water including courtyards and Roof drainage piping systems to five 5' beyond building footprint. Refer to Multiple Prime Coordination Clarifications. 6. LPG/Propane gas piping distribution systems. Refer to Multiple Prime Coordination Clarifications. 7. Natural gas. PC responsibilities for propane gas service shall begin at outlet of second stage regulators including shutoff valve and final connection to regulator outlet and shall be as stated on the Drawings. 8. Plumbing Equipment including domestic water heaters, sump pumps, hot water recirculation pumps, grease interceptors, acid neutralization tanks. 9. Domestic water distribution systems including connection to existing domestic water service equipment. 10. Plumbing fixtures 11. Domestic water heaters and associated appurtenances including combustion air and vent piping. 12. Fire suppression hydraulic calculations to size fire suppression system. 13. Design Build Fire suppression sprinkler system including sprinkler piping and heads, valves, supervisory flow and tamper switches, trim, accessories, and supports. 14. Fire protection equipment including fire water storage tank, fire pump house building, fire pumps, etc. Refer to Multiple Prime Coordination Clarifications. 15. Provide fire suppression system drawings and hydraulic calculations and submit for approval by local AHJ and Owners Insurance carrier. 16. Perform all required Fire Protection system testing, flushes, and fills, at the completion of each Phase. 17. Plumbing connections to equipment furnished by the General Construction Contract, Plumbing Contract, HVAC Contract, and Electrical Contract. 18. Preparing of sprinkler and plumbing coordination drawings and assisting Project Coordinator in preparation of coordination drawings. 19. Coordination of work with all contractors including, but not limited to Electrical, General, and HVAC contractors. Coordinate and confirm locations and rough-in for all work with all contractors. Make location adjustments as required. 20. Food Service equipment connections and required appurtenances/accessories. 21. Firestopping of Plumbing Contract Work. 22. Provide temporary water service for construction per Temporary Facilities specifications as required. 23. Contractor shall include temporary connections (including additional piping and valves) as required to keep existing systems active until connection to permanent system is complete. Maintain operation of out of Phase existing systems at occupied areas. Coordinate all required shutdowns of existing systems with Owner. 24. Hangers and Supports for all work of the Plumbing Contract 25. Required piping specialties, piping and equipment identification, meters and gauges, expansion fittings, vibration isolation, and insulation for all work of the Plumbing Contract
