Said bids are to be based on the following specifications: 1. Weekly residential garbage pickup and disposal. 2. Bid will be a five (5) year contract. Payments will be made monthly. 3. There are approximately 300 households. 4. Contractor will not be responsible for billing or collection of individual assessments. The City Finance Office will handle all billing and collecting from residents. 5. Contractor shall offer a contract with commercial businesses within the City. 6. Contractor shall comply with all Federal, State, County, and City laws, regulations and ordinances. 7. Successful bidder will be required to carry liability insurance naming the City as additional insured. 8. The City reserves the right to revoke and cancel said contract on 30 days' notice in the event of default. The City reserves the right to refuse any and all bids, to waive any informality in the bidding and to award the contract in the best interest of the City of Avon, South Dakota.
