The Town of Ashland, the Awarding Authority, by its Department of Public Works invites sealed bids from qualified contractors for the SEWER REHABILITATION Project located in Ashland, MA. All bidding procedures shall conform to M.G.L. c.30, 39M, c.149, 44A-L The known scope of work is estimated to cost $850,000.00 Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit of not less than five (5%) percent of the value of the proposed work in accordance with M.G.L. c. 30, 39M(a), and made payable to the Town of Ashland, the Awarding Authority. Bidders are reminded that the bid deposit covers the Town for damages when a bidder withdraws its bid after the bid submission date. Be advised that to the extent permitted by the law the Town will retain all bid deposits for withdrawn bids. This deposit will be refunded to document holders of record who return the Bidding Documents to the Engineer in good condition within fourteen (14) days after the opening of Bids. The project consists of known and unknown mainline and lateral sewer rehabilitation using various rehabilitation methods, including, but not limited to, full length cured-in-place liners, pipe joint and service lateral test and seal methods, excavated point repairs and sewer replacement, and cured-in-place liner point repairs; and known and unknown sewer manhole rehabilitation using various rehabilitation methods, including but not limited to chemical grout sealing of active leaks, repairs of manhole structures, manhole lining, frame and cover repairs/replacement, and inflow frame inserts. The project also includes sewer main cleaning and CCTV inspection in all sewers to be rehabilitated, and where directed by the Owner. The Successful Bidder shall perform the sewer main and manhole rehabilitation work under a three (3) year Contract based upon an annual appropriation of funds and written authorization by the Owner This deposit will be refunded to document holders of record who return the Bidding Documents to the Engineer in good condition within fourteen (14) days after the opening of Bids.
