Site work and renovation of a civil project in East Alton, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Village of East Alton Josh Curren, Village Treasurer 119 W. Main Street East Alton, Il 62024The Village is currently pursuing project funding from IEPA for upgrades to its water treatment plant that consist of the following key upgrades: * Provide Treatment for PFAS. * Provide upgrades to the Village's old 1.5 MGD Water Treatment Plant - new aerator, replace clarifier, replace Greenleaf filters & new chemical feed systems and controls. * Replace existing pumps with new VFD pumps - High Service and Backwash Pumps * Upgrade the existing pebble lime feed system with a new hydrate lime system. * Extensive site piping * Extensive rehab painting of the existing plant treatment units. This is a high priority project for the Village as PFAS has a newly mandated USEPA and IEPA MCL that currently exceeds the water quality currently produced at the Water Plant. The Village must be able to provide full PFAS treatment by 2029.
