The Hingham Public Schools (HPS) is requesting bids for Hingham High School Wellness Center located at 17 Union Street, Hingham, MA. The project includes the construction of multipurpose Wellness Center Facility on the existing site of a former storage and concession facility including all civil, architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and fire protection to complete the facility. The estimated cost of the work is $1,150,000 Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26 to 27H inclusive. General Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, General Building Construction and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. Filed Sub-Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the trades listed below and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Sub-bidder's Update Statement. Filed Sub-Bid Trades: o Electrical o HVAC o Painting o Roofing and Flashing All plan holders must have an active online account online to acquire documents and to receive project notifications. Bid deposits will be dealt with as provided in Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 44B. Bids shall be made on the basis of the Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, Pursuant to the Provisions of Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D inclusive of Massachusetts General Laws, a copy of which is attached to and is made a part of the Contract. Bidders' selection procedures and contract award shall be in conformity with applicable statues of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Performance and Labor and Materials payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price will be required from the successful bidder. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all general bids, if it be in the public interest to do so, and to reject any sub-bid on any sub-trade if it determines that such sub-bid does not represent the sub-bid of a person competent to perform the work as specified or that less than three such sub-bids were received and that the prices are not reasonable for acceptance without further competition.
