The City of Benson has been awarded a federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the State of Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) and an Arizona State Parks Land and Water Conservation Fund grant. The City will accept sealed bids from licensed Arizona Contractors to complete the following improvements to Lions Park: a restroom/concession building and paved parking near the new ball fields under the CDBG grant; and the addition of pickle ball courts, the replacement of the heavily utilized large ramada with electrical upgrades and the construction of the first phase of a softball/baseball field complex under the Arizona State Parks Grant.
