Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in West Des Moines, Iowa. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Reconstruction of Woodland Avenue from Veterans Parkway to SW Kerry Street as part of the proposed Microsoft Ruthenium development. Woodland Avenue is currently a rural 2-lane cross section and will be reconstructed as an urban 3-lane cross section while accommodating an ultimate build 5-lane cross section. The project will include grading, storm sewer, water main, fiber conduit, paving, multi-use trail, and other miscellaneous work. Design is currently planned to take place throughout the remainder of 2024, with the right-of way and easement acquisitions planned for early 2025, utility relocations in 2025, bidding late 2025, and construction in 2026. This project is included in the city's fy 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Program. As of October 10, 2024, further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
