Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in West Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Construction of 1,125 feet of Grand Prairie Parkway from 500 feet south of Wendover Road to 625 feet north of Wendover Road and construction of the intersection with the future EP True Parkway including all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for installation of approximately: 390 LF of storm sewer with 10 structures, 410 LF of water main, 5,500 CY of grading, 9,175 SY of PCC pavement, 580 SY of doweled median, 1,620 CY of modified subbase, 270 SY of PCC sidewalk and shared use path, traffic signals, 2 ACRES of surface restoration, erosion control, pavement markings, traffic control, construction survey, and miscellaneous related work and appurtenances. The two construction phases of EP True Parkway from Grand Prairie Parkway to Wendover Lane are scheduled to be let in May, 2025 as well. This project will require coordination with both of those projects. All bids shall be made on the form furnished by the City through wdm.ionwave.net and shall be filed on or before the time specified above. Each proposal shall be electronically accompanied by a scanned copy of the bid bond or a scanned copy of a cashier's or certified check drawn on an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. If a bid bond is submitted it must be on the form provided with the contract documents. A physical copy of the bid security will be required to be submitted to the City Clerk's Office by the apparent low bidder within 48 hours of the bid deadline The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract and guaranteeing payment to all persons supplying labor and/or materials in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. Additionally the contractor must provide the City with a guarantee of maintenance of said improvement in the form of surety for a period of four (4) years from the time of acceptance by the City. Work on said project shall commence within ten (10) days of the written notice to proceed and shall be substantially completed by October 31, 2025. Substantial completion shall be defined as all utilities, traffic signal conduit systems and footings, grading, and pavement completed, with the streets and sidewalks fully open to traffic. Liquidated damages in the amount of One Thousand and 00/100 dollars ($1,000.00) per consecutive calendar day will be assessed for work not substantially completed within the designated Contract term(s). The work shall be fully completed by May 31, 2026. Full completion shall be defined as all improvements, including restoration, seeding, and a complete and functional traffic signal installation, and ready for final acceptance. Liquidated damages in the amount of One Thousand and 00/100 dollars ($1,000.00) per consecutive calendar day will be assessed for each day that the work remains uncompleted after the end of the contract period. The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive any and/or all technicalities and/or all irregularities. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
