*As of November 8, 2024,, project was awarded to A&B Excavating., awarded amount is $265,457.08* Envelopes containing bid proposals shall be sealed and addressed to the City of Burley, Idaho and shall be marked: Proposed FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT NEAR BUIRLY HEYBURN LIFT STATION Action will be taken by the City within thirty (30) days of the opening date and the successful bidder will be required to enter into a written contract with the City within ten (10) days after Notice of Award of his bid. The City of Burley reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularity in any bid. Some of the work is located on and adjacent to railroad property. The contractor will be required to have in place all the insurance levels required by the railroad company including the railroad protective liability coverage prior to starting any work. The bidder is cautioned to review the insurance requirements prior to placing the bid. Each bid will be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid which will be forfeited to the City if the bidder fails to enter into the contract. Checks of unsuccessful bidders will be returned immediately following award of the contract or 30 days after opening, if no award is made. All contractors submitting bids are required to have a valid Idaho Public Works License prior to bidding and to include the number on the Bid Form. Payment and Performance Bonds each equal to the bid amount are required upon award of Contract. Bidders may ask questions up to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday October 23, 2024. All proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished. Contractors are responsible to acquire and review the 2020 Edition of the ISPWC Technical Specifications. The proposed work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials to construct Proposed FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT NEAR BUIRLY HEYBURN LIFT STATION as indicated on the project plans. A list of quantities is available from the City Clerk s Office. This work is financed from city funds. Davis-Bacon wage requirements, American Iron and Steel (AIS), and Build America, Buy America (BABA) are not in effect. The proposed work is to be completed within 45 days after notice to proceed is sent or as directed by the City Engineer.
