Working Days/Completion Date. All work on the project shall be completed by January 1st, 2025. The non-availability of material shall not change the completion date unless approved by the Engineer. Contract Period and Payment Terms. The contract period shall end upon the project's substantial and final completion. Either party may cancel its obligations herein upon thirty-day (30) prior written notice to the other party. It is understood that funding may cease or be reduced at any time, and in the event that adequate funds are not available to meet the obligations hereunder, the City reserves the right to terminate this agreement upon thirty (30) days prior written notice to the contracted party. Payment will be remitted following receipt of detailed invoice. \Basis of Payment. Payment for the bid items will be as a lump sum/measured quantity amount based on the bid quantities and unit prices in the bid proposal. Prices MUST also be free of duties, federal, state, and local taxes unless otherwise imposed by a governmental body, and applicable to the material on the proposal. For state/federal aid projects, the prime contractor must be on the Kansas Department of Transportation's pre-qualified contractors list.
