License Requirements C-57 Liquidated Damages $1,000 Per Day Project Duration 100 consecutive working days The work necessary for the completion of this contract consists of: 1. Mobilization of equipment and personnel to each well site. 2. Traffic Control - Implement the traffic control plan for Dolphin Well Site as shown on drawing T-6025-S in Appendix A. Obtain an encroachment permit from the City of Fountain Valley. The contractor is responsible for all permit costs. 3. Disconnect the piping & electrical systems from each well and remove the motor, pump column and pump bowls from each well. Each well will receive a new pump and motor, therefore, the existing pump systems for each well site will be scrapped. City staff will handle all electrical disconnections from the existing permanent motor. The permanent motor may be stored on-site inside the pump house on a pallet supplied by Contractor. Disposal of the old motors and pumps is the responsibility of the Contractor. 4. Furnish new pump assembly and new pump motor as a mated pair for each well. Include new column pipe, couplings, line shaft, adaptors and other ancillary equipment and appurtenances for the well, resulting in a fully operable pumping system at the City's design rate and TDH. 5. Conduct an initial video survey of the entire well casing at each well site. 6. Initiate biocleaning of each well casing by injecting Herc Chem Tech (HCT) WaterSOLV(TM) BC via a dual-swab tool throughout the perforated sections of each well casing to help remove encrusting material and/or biofilm from the casing walls. Conduct wire brushing (using a steel wire brushes at the Tamura and Dolphin Shallow wells, and a stiff nylon brush at the Dolphin Deep Well), and then bail sediment fill from the bottom of each casing. 7. Perform "Air-Jetting" at each well to help open up the original gravel pack and perforations or screen, used for each original well. 8. Conduct chemical treatment at each well using HCT solutions, as specified. 9. Perform mechanical redevelopment via simultaneous swabbing and airlifting of the chemical solutions from each well. Fluids generated during this process shall be treated prior to discharge to the local storm drain system at each well. 10. Perform an interim video survey to help ensure the effectiveness of the chemical and mechanical rehabilitation operations. 11. Conduct an Electro-Magnetic Thickness (EMT24) survey of the entire well casing at the Tamura and Dolphin Shallow Wells only. 12. Perform a caliper survey to measure the current diameter of the casing(s) at the Tamura and Dolphin Shallow Wells only. 13. Perform a gyroscopic casing survey at the Tamura and Dolphin Shallow Wells only. 14. Install Type 304L Stainless Steel full casing liners and gravel packs, as specified at the Tamura and Dolphin Shallow Wells only. 15. Conduct an interim video survey of the entire well casing at the Tamura and Dolphin Shallow Wells only to document the state of newly installed liners. 16. Mobilize, install, operate, maintain, and then remove a temporary test pump and test motor capable of pumping up to 3,000 gpm at each well site. 17. Conduct pumping redevelopment by pumping and surging at each well. 18. Conduct a 12-hour step-drawdown test and a 24- to 48-hour constant rate pumping test at each well. 19. Near the end of the constant rate pumping test, perform a dynamic spinner survey in each well. 20. Remove the test pump and perform a final video survey at each well site to help check for possible damage from installation and/or removal of temporary test pump, and to determine the amount of sediment fill in the bottom of each casing; bail the accumulated sediment. 21. Perform additional brushing and bailing at each well to further help remove any biological build up prior to the installation of the permanent pump. 22. Mobilize, install, operate, maintain, and then remove a temporary test pump and motor at each well site.
