Project No: 36C77621R0117 Updated Due Date: Will give new due date after SITE VISIT. I am sending this today to let you know that the SITE VISIT is now set for 10/15/2024 @ 9:00 AM PST. Meet our Site Supervisor Tina Delorey at the main entrance @ 975 Kirman Ave at the coffee cart. Please email both myself and Tina Delorey to confirm you will be at the site visit. our email addresses are below. I have also added the Bulletins #001 through #005 and the RFIs #003 through #039 to the files. Please download them. Please Note: After the SITE VISIT you will be given more time to prepare your proposal, but want to get you on site and working ASAP so don't worry about the due date at this time. This is the RFP that you have expressed interest in. I have attached all the drawings, but for your scope it would only be in the Technical Section for the cabling. I also have all the specs, and all original Addendum and the RFI Questions and Answers. Here is some of the project information. It includes, but is not limited to: RENO VA EHRM PROJECT SIERRA NEVADA MEDICAL CENTER - Reno, NV. DEPARTMENT OF VETRIAN AFFAIRS PROJECT #654-20-700/CONTRACT NUMBER #36C77621C0107 SOLICITATION FOR BIDS We are asking for bid solicitation to completion division 27 and 28 of the Reno Nevada Veterans Hospital EHRM project. This project is approximately 46% completed. We are soliciting a contractor to complete the remaining portion of this project. This is a fully functioning hospital, which means you will be working around visitors, staff, in and outpatients. HEPA carts ARE required. Night and Day shifts will be required depending on the area's we are working in. Provide enough manpower and equipment to possibly, run both a night and a day shift simultaneously. 8- or 10-hour work shifts are allowed, but must be coordinated through Talion to the VA two weeks prior to start. The material is onsite , however an inventory of said materials will need to be completed to determine if there is enough material to complete the project. There is a designated equipment and tool storage area inside the hospital. Every staff member will be required to check in DAILY, first thing upon their arrival, with the VA Police to obtain a day badge. This process depending on the number of employees can take up to 10 to 15 minutes of your work shift. Damaged ceiling tiles are your responsibility to replace, at no extra cost to the project. This includes any broken grid as well. Scratched, broken, or dirty tiles will need to be replaces, as they are getting replaced back into the existing ceiling. All penetrations through walls or ceilings will need to be fire caulked, as soon as possible. A crew member must be present with every crew to maintain a clean area around your work area. For the duration of the time worked. Bidders are to provide a schedule prior to beginning work. This schedule will represent Bidders plan on how they will complete this project, day or night shifts, and project completion. Bidder is required to provide all tools, equipment, plastic, PPE equipment, HEPA Carts, manpower, cleaning supplies, and cleaning equipment at no additional cost to the project. Bidder must comply with VA safety and containment standards. Parking at the Reno VA is free. Although, it can be a very long distance between your trucks and the project site. Bidders are not allowed to park in the parking structures or in VA surface parking lots. Talion has a laydown yard approximately 2 blocks from the work site. Bidders are more than welcome to park or us our laydown yard. Bidders should include all reimbursables in their original bid. This includes lodging, meals, and transportation. PREBID SITE VISIT There will be an onsite job walk on XXXXXXXX Talion STRONGLY recommends you attend to review the working conditions and campus layout. If you would like to see a specific area please advise ahead of time, so we can provide access. EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATION Contractors will need to submit an organization chart identifying the project Forman, Superintendent, Project Manager, and/or Operations Manager. Forman and/or Superintendents must speak English. Prior to making any staff changes Talion Construction must be notified and approved of said changes. CERTIFICATIONS Contractor to have a RCDD qualified employee on site managing the project. Contractor to be BISCI certified to install low voltage cabling. Contractor will need to be certified in the structured cabling solution you have installed. BIDDING INFORMATION Drawings: Issued for Construction, Dated October 28, 2022 Specifications: Issue for Construction, Dated October 28, 2022 RFP Original Summary Bulletins 01 - 05 RFI's 03, 04, 04.1, 07, 08, 13, 14, 15, 16, 28, 29, 31, 33, 34, 35, 38, 39. WORK COMPLETED The fiber portion of the work will not be included. All Fiber is pulled to all TR rooms. Buildings 1A, 5, 6, and 7 are complete. Data Cable removal has been done. Building 1 Floors 1 - 6 have CAT6A cable installed, and all the rooms located in Building 1 have the drops installed. Building 1 Floor 5, the TR Racks have been installed but will need to have equipment rails installed. These rails are onsite and will be provided for installation. All the switches and cabling are in these racks currently. Testing of the CAT6A cabling has been completed on Floors 6, 5, and 4. Some of the data cable demo has been completed, as in using the existing pathway for the new cable. Building 10, Basement level is complete. Testing of the CAT6A cabling has been completed. Building 12 Floors 2, 3, 4, 5, and part of 6 have cable already installed. Floors 2, 3, 4, and 5 have the drops installed. WORK REMAINING Building 1 Floors 1 - 6 The Telecommunication Rooms (TR) in Building 1, Floors 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 do not have racks in place nor has the CAT6A cable been terminated into the racks. Therefore, switch over from the old racks to the new racks has not been completed. Testing of the CAT6A cabling has NOT been completed Building 1D TR's and Cabling need to be completed. Building 8 TR Cabinet assembled, but no equipment or cable has been installed. The HVAC equipment in this cabinet will be installed by the CAT6A contractor, as it is part of the cabinet. Building 10 Floor 1 TR's and Cabling need to be completed Building 12 Floors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 - Floor 4 TR room Biomed racks have been moved. All other TR's need to be completed, as the CAT6A cable is lying inside the TR room. Floor 3, all cables are routed and in use. But in the TR, they need to be dressed and labeled to patch panels. In B5, similar situation to B3. But some cables are in patch panels. Removal of old data cable - All old Data Cable needs to be removed. Please be sure to physically look at the amount of data cable that needs to be removed. *The original solicitation is listed below for historical reference.
