Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a fire / police facility; and for the construction of a 14,600-square-foot, two-story above grade fire / police facility.
Wharton-Smith, Inc., the Construction Manager at Risk for Charlotte Firehouse #46 is extending the rebidding period and will be accepting sealed rebids from prequalified 1st tier (prime) subcontractors for the following bid packages. Bid Packages 01A – General Trades; 03A - Turnkey Concrete; 05A - Structural and Miscellaneous Steel; 06A – Millwork; 08A - Glass & Glazing; 08B - Doors / Frames / Hardware; 09A – Drywall; 09C – Ceramic and Porcelain Tile; 09E - Carpet and Rubber Flooring; 10A – Signage; 10B - Building Accessories / Specialties; 10C – Lockers; 11A – Owner Furnished Equipment Install; 11B - Overhead Doors and Bi-Folding Doors; 11C - Fueling Systems; 14A – Elevators; 21A - Fire Protection; 22A – Plumbing; 23A – HVAC; 26A – Electrical; 31A - Earthwork/ Grading / Site Utilities; 32B - Landscape; 32C – Fencing. It is the subcontractor's responsibility to ensure bids are delivered to Wharton-Smith by the times outlined above. The Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, and to award the contract to other than the low bidder should it be deemed in their best interest. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after receipt of bid.
