Renovation of a residential development in Euclid, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

The City of Euclid's Division of Community Development, through the Department of Planning and Development, is requesting proposals from qualifying and appropriate contractors for residential roof replacement for houses and garages with substandard roofing, for the Program Year (PY) 2024. Funding and support for this program will be from the City of Euclid's annual allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) monies, through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The project location for this program will be at the following location: 2051 E. 224 Street. The homeowner of this house meets the appropriate household income qualifications in order to be eligible for the Division of Community Development's housing programs. A detailed Scope of Work for each project location are detailed in "Section 2 - Scope of Work and Specifications" of this Request for Proposal. Scope of Work and Roofing Specifications 2051 E. 224 Street Roofing Specifications for Residential Dwelling Unit 1. Existing roof, underlayment, drip edge, and boots to be removed and disposed of by contractor. 2. Site shall be free of nails and other debris. 3. Replace all rotting decking as necessary. 4. Install 15 lb. synthetic underlayment. 5. Shingles must be fastened to solidly sheathed decks. Homes with boards for decking would need to be re-sheathed per Code if spaced. 6. Ice and water shield to be installed per code at eaves. o Ice and water shield to line all valleys o Ice and water shield around chimney o Upon installation, inspection from the City of Euclid Department of Building and Housing is required 7. Install drip edge at eaves and gable ends. Drip edge should be F-8 Premium or approved equivalent. 8. Install soil stack boots at needed; base, cap, and sidewall flashing are required. o Rolled roofing applications Liberty Black Mineral for low slope roofs or approved equivalent. 9. Install step flashing at all roof penetrations. 10. Install Air Vent Shingle Vent II or equivalent at ridge. o Vent should extent the entire length of ridge 11. Install GAF Timberline Series 30-Year architectural shingle or approved equivalent
