The Project is Located Near the Millennium Industrial Park and Swan Lake Cemetery With Portions Extending Southward Along Us 20 to the Abandoned Autumn Creek Trailer Park. The Project Will Provide Sanitary Sewer Service to the Recently Annexed Area North and South of Us 20. Effluent From the New Sewer Will Be Conveyed to Michigan City's J.b. Gifford Water Treatment Plant for Treatment. The Work for the Project Includ Furnishing All Labor, Materials, Equipment, Supplies, and Services for the Construction of the Project as Defined in the Contract Documents. each Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Certified or Cashier's Check on a Solvent Bank or Trust Company, Drawn to the Order of the Michigan City Sanitary District, or an Acceptable Bid Bond, in an Amount of Not Less Than 10 Percent (10%) of the Total of the Base Bid Plus the Bids for All Alternates Associate With the Project. This Sum is a Guarantee That, if the Bid is Accepted, a Contract Will Be Entered Into and Its Performance Properly Secured. The Bid Security of All Bidders, Excepting the Three Lowest, Responsive, Responsible Bidders Will Be Returned Within Thirty (30) Days After the Opening of Bids. Any Bidder Whose Bid Security Has Been Retained May, After Thirty (30) Days From the Opening of Bids, Request Return of His Bid Security Provided He Has Not Been Notified of Acceptance of His Bid. The Bid Security of the Successful Bidder Will Not Be Returned Until Bidder Delivers the Required Signed Contract and Performance Bond. Any Bid May Be Withdrawn Prior to the Scheduled Time for the Opening of Bids or Authorized Postponement Thereof. No Bid May Be Withdrawn for Sixty (60) Days After the Scheduled Time for Opening, Unless Agreed to by the Owner. The Board Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All of the Bids Received. All Bid Awards Are Made Subject to an Appropriate Contract Being Finalized Between the Owner and the Winning Bidder.
