The Proposed Work Includes: The construction of 108 new precast concrete septic tanks, septic tank effluent pumps, pump service lines, pump control panels, new system air release valves and electromagnetic flow meter. Bidders MUST be registered with the Engineer as a plan holder in order to submit a bid for consideration. Nondiscrimination in Employment - Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order Number 11246. Requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications. In accordance with the Federal Funding Accountability Act of 2006, the contractor assures that it, as well as it's subcontractor(s), shall register in the System for Award Manage- ment (SAM). Requirement is further explained in the specifications. Attention of bidders is particu- larly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be ob- served and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109, and E.O. 11246. Bids must be submitted for the project on the Bid Form bound in the Bidding Documents. Bid envelope must state "Mineral Point Wastewater System Improvements". Each bidder must submit a bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of their total bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities, and to determine the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder, and to award the contract on that basis. All Labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Division of Labor Standards.
