Renovation of a transportation facility in Abingdon, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
Bidders using a certified check, cashier's check or cash escrow as your Bid Bond, a physical copy of your bid will need to be submitted by the posted due date and time to be considered for award. If your bond is in a form other than those mentioned, an electronic version of the document is acceptable; you should submit the electronic version and send the original to the Airport. The original must be postmarked on or before the due date. The project is generally described as: Provide all materials, labor, equipment, and other incidentals necessary for the renovation of the VIRGINIA HIGHLANDS AIRPORT TERMINAL RENOVATION. Work will include renovation of a building, approximately 9,000 gross square feet in area, with limited associated site work, exterior site lighting and utilities work. The contractor will be provided a laydown area, however the location as shown on the plans may change due ongoing site work. This project will be grant funded by the Virginia Department of Aviation. This grant funding will require separation in bid items as noted on the bid form. This is for the purposes of allocation grant funds by fund type. The subsequent schedule of values will also require structuring to conform to grant funding. Coordination and testing will be required as noted in the Contract Documents. All Work shall be as described in the Project Manual and shown on the Contract Drawings. The Airport reserves the right to waive Bid informalities, reject any and all Bids, request rebidding, or to award a contract as it deems will best serve its interest. In order to receive consideration, all questions must be received by the ARCHITECT prior to 2:00 P.M., June 18, 2026. Any changes made to the written requirements of the Bid Documents shall be made by written Addendum only.
