Prequalification of B - General Building Contractors Subject to Conditions Prescribed by the Undersigned, Prequalification Questionnaires From Contractors Licensed as Follows: Required Contractor License B-general Building Contractor Are Invited for the Following Work: Jmc Spd Expansion Uc San Diego Medical Center - La Jolla University of California, San Diego Estimated Construction Cost: $3,000,000 This project is located on the lower level of Jacobs Medical Center in an existing shell space as well as the current Sterile Processing Department (SPD) office area. The work shall consist of the expansion of the SPD in the shell space modification of an existing staff toilet and the modification of two existing offices into one. This project is designed to meet CBC Chapter 12 Section 1224.2 Central Sterile Supply. Work includes selective demolition, miscellaneous metal work (for medical and MEP equipment supports), doors frames, hardware, light gauge steel framing and drywall, interior finishes, miscellaneous specialties, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm and medical communications/low voltage work. The University seeks Contractors with demonstrated experience in renovations to Healthcare (OSHPD 1) facilities with a high degree of technical and aesthetic complexity. Specific experience requirements include: technical equipment that requires significant MEP coordination, facilitating an OSHPD 1 renovation/addition within a health care space, installation and testing of a RO/DI water systems, Test and Balance Reporting involving pressurized spaces, replacement/installation and pathway supports of electrical conduits, mechanical piping and structural equipment through very congested areas, extensive coordination with End User for power shutdowns. The estimated construction duration is 6 months. The Contractor shall have demonstrated an average annual business revenue of at least $5,000,000 over the last five (5) consecutive years. The Contractor must have demonstrated experience on their best three (3) comparable projects with the Contractor providing services as General Contractor within the last ten (10) years. Projects should have possessed the following construction challenges: Remodel work in healthcare (OSHPD 1) space requiring a high degree of infection control, coordination with users, multiple utility shutdowns, or other similar efforts to construct improvements with challenging obstacles in a demanding operational environment; Remodel work in healthcare (OSHPD 1) and coordinating with IOR and HCAI ACO; Medical Facilities with limited construction and staging areas; Repair of medical facilities requiring proactive and innovative solutions due to noise, dust, vibration and pedestrian traffic while the facility is fully occupied and operational 24/7; Renovations/expansions requiring proactive and innovative solutions due to unknown and/or unforeseen field conditions; Project complexity requiring tracking of multiple functions and phases; Project complexity requiring critical path construction scheduling to complete on time. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
