As of December 27, 2024 project was awarded to Mid Florida Directional Drilling LLC, but awarded amount is not available. Furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the City Wide Directional Drilling, BID 2025-06 for the City of Ormond Beach, Florida The City of Ormond Beach is seeking bids to provide directional drilling of casings for replacement water/wastewater services. The Contractor will be responsible for providing all equipment, material, labor, and other services required per the Invitation to Bid. The work shall be performed on a per unit basis as indicated on the Bid Schedule. The deadline for questions From time to time, the Water Distribution division receives customer concerns about low water pressure/volume in their home. Water Distribution responds to the concern by testing the rate of flow from the water service. If the flow rate falls below the acceptable rate of 6 gpm, the service is scheduled for replacement. The usual cause of low flow is attributed to the condition of the old galvanized pipe. Where service properties are located on the opposite side of the street from the watermain, installation of the new service requires the directional drilling of a casing under the roadway surface. This work eliminates the cutting of the roadway surface, reducing the time to complete the repair, and eliminating restoration of the road. By providing a sleeve for the installation of the new service, future repairs, if necessary are also much simpler. We cannot guarantee the quantity of work needed, however, the City averages the replacement of approximately 40 services per year. The City of Ormond Beach will designate a primary contact point for the duration of the contract for project administration purposes. When the selected Contractor is contacted by the City to provide service, the Contractor will respond to the request within five (5) business days, or otherwise as mutually agreed upon. The Contractor will be responsible for calling in locates, establishing site safety, providing all equipment, material, labor, and other incidentals needed for installing new casings as required.
