Contract Synopsis City of Paden City - Proposed Sanitary Sewer Improvements Phase II Paden City, Wetzel County, West Virginia The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, is carrying out a project to upgrade the sludge dewatering system at the Paden City Wastewater Treatment Plant by decommissioning the old sludge drying beds, installing a new belt filter press, constructing a building for the new belt filter press, and upgrading the aeration system. The major feature of the Project generally involves the following: Demolition of the two existing sludge drying beds Installation of a belt filter press along with a building for it: Skid mounted belt filter press Sludge pump Polymer injection system All necessary piping Masonry building to house all equipment and keep it above the 100-year flood levels Installation of a new aeration system: Aeration diffuser grid Blowers All necessary piping The work shall be completed within 450 calendar days after written Notice to Proceed. Per FAR 36.204(f) the magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This acquisition will be procured as 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The resulting award will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Contract. All responsible Bidders are encouraged to participate. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 22 October 2024, online through Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) which posts the opportunity to SAM.gov; therefore, requests for hardcopies of the solicitation will not be honored. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 237110- Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction and the Small Business Size Standard is 45,000,000.00.
