The goal of the project is to replace existing equipment with a play system that provides inclusive and accessible features. Work to include demolition and removal of existing playground equipment, removal of existing fall surfacing (wood fiber), provide and install new equipment, install new fall surfacing and borders as requested. Bidders shall include all necessary removal/disposal of old fixtures and materials, new materials, installation, and use or rental of equipment needed to perform the requested work. 2. Replacement of wood borders with plastic borders. iii. Bidders will provide up to three layouts of an interconnected inclusive and accessible play system for the area indicated and the associated costs. iv. The proposed layouts should include at least one (1) accessible and inclusive play piece (similar to the Play and Park Structures Rock-N-Wave). v. The proposed layouts should include a minimum of two (2) slides and two (2) climbers, in addition to an accessible ramp that connects the system. vi. All vertical support posts must be a minimum 5" O.D.. vii. To allow accessibility the base of the ramp should connect with the existing paved walkway in all three options. viii. Bidders are asked to focus on the critical and larger components of the play system. Activity panels and other stand alone features may be added after the bid award based on budget. b. Alternate 1 - Area shaded in ORANGE on site map i. Install poured in place (PIP) rubber surfacing per manufacturer's specifications to connect the 2 paved walkway with the first swing bay, filling the corner of the existing play area with PIP. ii. Perform all necessary removals and disposal. iii. Install one (1) ADA swing (similar to the Play and Park Structures Made for Me Seat 5-12) and one (1) two-person swing (similar to the Play and Park Structures Tweenmates) in place of the belt swings in the first swing bay. c. Alternate 2 - Area shaded in RED on site map i. Bidders will provide costs to remove and dispose of the exciting wood fiber and wood borders. ii.
