Demolition and site work for a residential development in Webster Groves, Missouri. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The City of Webster Groves, Missouri, is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the demolition of a residential structure located at 843 N Forest Ave, within the city limits. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the complete removal of the structure, disconnection of utilities, and site restoration to a uniform grade. Additionally, the City will require the removal of dead trees and excessive vegetation on the subject properties. The work must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including the Webster Groves Municipal Code, 2015 International Building Code, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, and St. Louis County Department of Public Health Air Pollution Control Program. Once established, the vegetative cover will also filter pollutants from the runoff. A 3/4 -1-inch-thick mat of vigorous turf, free of disease, insects and weeds. Sod prevents raindrops from disrupting the soil structure and causing erosion. Sod slows water runoff and acts as a filter when sediment-laden runoff crosses over the sodded area. The Scope of Work includes demolishing and removing existing structure (approx. 1,200 sq ft) with foundation, all appurtenant structures, front and rear concrete porch and walks (approx. 600 sq ft), drive ways, Obtaining Demolition Waste Release approval from Saint Louis County Public Health ; removing all possessions in house; grubbing; grading; removal of fence that is owned by the property and removal of air conditioning condensing unit; removing of all dead trees, wood and yard waste, including all bushes & saplings at the house; tree protecting of live trees of 8-inches or greater on property and 10-ft from property; contacting Ameren UE for removing electrical service to house; contacting gas company to remove the gas service and meter; sewer and water disconnect and removal back to main with (asphalt or concrete) resurfacing with City excavation permit(s), re-vegetating with seed & straw with erosion control until vegetation takes hold; and other incidental items for the complete clearing and cleanup of the site. Best Management Practices are to be used when controlling runoff and when establishing permanent vegetation.
