The project scope encompasses a comprehensive technical review of the Site Investigation Report (SIR) conducted by the City for the project site. This will be followed by the development of a conceptual design for a proposed new regional sports complex, guided by the SIR, public input, and any environmental or other constraints related to the existing site conditions. Coordination with the City's current Environmental Engineer, VHB, who conducted the SIR, will be essential throughout the project. VHB will provide support during the design development phase, specifically in relation to construction technical specifications regarding contaminated soils. Additionally, they will be involved in the construction phase, offering expertise on soil disposal applications, clean fill certifications, and contractor compliance monitoring to ensure adherence to state regulatory requirements. The objective of this project is to produce detailed design plans and documents that will support a future Request for Proposals (RFP) for the construction of the proposed facility. The selected firm will also provide full-time construction services throughout the project's construction phase. Firms are required to submit an estimated project schedule for the proposed scope of work. Within two (2) weeks of receiving the formal notice of project award (Notice to Proceed) from the City, the consultant must provide a project schedule detailing reasonable timeframes for project completion in alignment with the City's goals and objectives. The City aims to have all project drawings and specifications ready for bidding no later than eight (8) months from the Notice to Proceed. This schedule may be adjusted based on the final award date, community input process, and other relevant project requirements. The total contract duration will be one (2) year The City may make such investigations, as it deems necessary to determine the ability of the firm to perform the Work. The firm shall furnish the City with all such information and data for the purpose as may be requested. The City of Warwick reserves the right to be the sole judge of the suitability of the proposed services for its intended use, and further specifically reserves the right to make the award in the best interests of the City of Warwick.
