Office: (785) 823-3400 Email: jonathant@kveng.com Measurement and payment descriptions for bid items of the contract not covered in KDOTs Standard Specifications for State Road and Bridge Construction are as follows: A. Removal of Concrete Curb & Gutter The Contractor shall be paid for the removal of existing concrete curb and gutter sections, with measurement being to the tenth of a lineal foot for each section removed and payment for the sum of all sections calculated and paid to the nearest lineal foot. B. Removal of Concrete Sidewalk The Contractor shall be paid for the removal of existing concrete sidewalk and concrete sidewalk ramps, with measurement being to the tenth of a square yard for each section removed and payment for the sum of all sections calculated and paid to the nearest square yard. C. Seeding Seeding shall be considered a single lump sum item for all disturbed areas, with no measurement of actual quantities being made. Payment will be full compensation for seeding and erosion control devices as required by the plans. This item shall include all costs for material and all incidental and appurtenant work to complete the item and establish a hardy growth of vegetation.
