Renovation of a municipal facility in Stettler, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Site is located at 19561 Twp. 384 in the County of Stettler. This site is the location of the Public Works Shop facility. Scope of Work The purpose of this project is to re locate the existing hot water heating mains and feed the slab heating manifolds inside the building. This will be specifically within the mechanics shop bay which has concrete flooring. The existing hot water heating mains that feed the slab heating manifolds in the shop are leaking and attempts at stopping the leaks have been unsuccessful, as the exact location of the leak is not determined and cutting the concrete slab is not feasible. It has been determined that re-routing the heating mains at the ceiling with supply and return drops to the manifold locations throughout. See manifold locations on attached drawing M-1 The scope of work of this project is as follows: Re route the existing main hot water heating and return lines overhead as shown on drawing M1; utilize existing hangars / supports where possible; provide additional support as required; Install supply and return drops to each manifold, sized as noted. Drops are to feed down along the wall, routed as efficiently as possible, avoiding existing structure and other obstacles. Final routing to be confirmed with owner prior to installation. Provide supports as required to securely anchor the piping; Reconnect to the existing headers. Install pressure independent valves (PICV) on each manifold to maintain proper flow rates (as noted) through all portions of the system. Make good as required existing zone valves and controls; Insulate, clad and label all new piping to match existing; Cap piping that is no longer in use at the floor and remove all sections that are no longer required; Flush system to remove all debris; Refill and balance system to noted flow rates.
