Renovation of a medical facility in Stettler, Alberta. Design plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Project ID/WBS No. : P-005950. The ASI - Stettler Hospital and Care Centre (SHCC) project intends to enhance surgical capacity through the expansion and renovation of surgical services for General Surgery and Gynecology, including the addition of a new endoscopy procedure room and expansion of the Medical Device Reprocessing Department (MDRD) space. The project is proposed to be completed in the following construction phases: 1. Developing a new Medical Device Reprocessing Department (MDRD) expansion (approximately 350m2), adjacent to the surgical suite to support expanded surgical/endoscopy services. 2. Converting an existing case room (room 136) to develop a new Endoscopy procedure room (approximately 31m2). 3. Moving the Electrical Room and Anti Room into the new expansion and converting existing into a new corridor. 4. Upgrading the two existing operating rooms, Room 135 (33m2) than Room 134 (27m2), to meet infection prevention and control measures (IPC). Including new electrical service to support additional equipment. 5. Phased renovation of the existing MDRD (approximately 87m2). The MDRD expansion should allow for daylight to be maintained to the existing inpatient rooms with suitable landscape and/or exterior cladding/graphics. TIMELINE: Project is in design. Tender and construction is planned for 2026. *Method of delivery will be construction management.
