No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. All correspondence and questions regarding the RFP must be addressed to: Kevin Israel Director of Construction and Facilities 100 Chaffin RD, PO box 880 Dodge City Ks, 67801 620-225-8100 kevini@dodgecity.org The City of Dodg e City is seeking proposals from experienced organizations or firms interested in supplying quality roof replacement services for Fire Station 1 at 210 Soule St. The purpose of the Request for Proposals is to solicit and select a Roofing Contractor to replace the damaged roof at the Dodg e City Fire Station #1. The roof has deteriorated over the years and has recently been patched after a major leak on the west side. 1. Remove the existing roof system including any decking, coping, scuppers, downspouts, etc. that are in disrepair. 2. Bidder is responsible for all dump fees and cost for removal. 3. Roof must be 26 GA or thicker metal standing seam roof panels. 4. Color must be Fire Engine Red or an approved equivalent. 5. Underlayment must be high temp synthetic style. 6. Install new metal trim throughout, including eaves, rake, headwalls, peak caps, boots and any other metal trim. 7. Install new 26 GA metal panel over existing fiberglass skylights above bay area. Color choice off color chart provided by bidder. 8. The City desires to have full sheets of metal vs. horizontal seams. If that is not feasible, please give an explanation of an alternate. 9. Engage in one preconstruction meeting with the City of Dodg e City and any subcontractors involved. 10. The contractor must provide a 3-year Labor warranty at minimum. 11. Hours of operation must be approved by the Dodg e City Development Services Department. 12. All licenses and insurance must be approved by the Dodg e City Development Services Dept. 13. Any alternates shall be presented to the Director of Facilities. If they are accepted an addendum will be sent to all registered bidders. 14. Include all warranties provided by supplier and contractor.
