The City of Coconut Creek, Florida is seeking bids from qualified, experienced and licensed Contractors to provide general contracting and construction services. The work shall be performed in full accordance with the plans, specifications, terms, and conditions contained in this Invitation for Bids (IFB). Question Deadline 10/25/2024 at 5:00 PM ET General Description of the Project This project consists of constructing improvements at Fire Station 94 Generator Replacement Project. As per the architectural and engineering construction documents provided, the work consists of removing an existing generator from within an enclosed interior space accessible from the exterior of the rear of the building; de-contamination as required to return the existing generator space to a usable electrical/mechanical room with new exterior doors; installation of a new 100kW diesel generator with sub-frame (belly) tank to be located adjacent to the north side of the structure on a newly to be constructed reinforced concrete slab with an open air enclosure; removal of the temporary above ground rental tank (to be returned to supplier) along with the related piping and above ground metal pipe protection (diamond plate materials to be returned to City's Public Works Dept.); revision to the existing electrical system per engineering to comply with updated code and life safety requirements in addition to the installation of new ATS equipment and related components. Note that life safety and building electrical must remain operational as this facility is an active fire rescue station. All equipment and fuel storage must be U.S. manufactured and sourced locally with available parts from local vendors for future parts needs.
