The Following is Applicable to Federal Aid Projects: The City of Seattle, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat, 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit Bids in response to this invitation and. will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, in consideration for an Award This Project is a Covered Project subject to the City of Seattle's Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) and Priority Hire SMC 20.37. With the support, of the mayor and City Council, the City of Seattle administers programs that support racial and economic equity through contracting. Priority Hire is one of these programs. Priority Hire provides people living in economically distressed communities, women, and people of color access to work on the city's construction projects. It gives contractors access to these skilled workers. PROJECT LOCATION: Beacon Hill / China town International District. 1.2th Ave S between S Lane St and S Charles St, spanning over S Dearborn St, 1-90, Mountains-to Sound Greenway Trail, and Sound Transit's East Link. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Full lead abatement of the Jose Rizal Bridge including full removal of existing paint on steel members within full containment and full repaint of steel members. For the northern, SDOT-owned portion of the bridge, the superstructure, piers, strain poles, and railings are included in the scope of work. For the southern, WSDOT owned portion of the bridge, only the strain poles and railings are included in the scope of work. A/E ESTIMATE: $11,700 000 to $12,000,000. There is no prebid site inspection meeting scheduled for this project. Bidders must understand the requirements of SMC 14.16 and RCW 49.46 and demonstrate compliance prior to award. Bidders must understand the requirements of SMC 19.19, RCW 49.46, 29 CFR 5.5 and 40 CSC 3141 and demonstrate compliance prior to award. DBE REQUIREMENT: This Contract has a 13% mandatory goal. Note: City of Seattle Inclusion Plan requirements are not applicable on FH WA funded, projects. This Contract has a 800 Hours Training requirement. Question Deadline 10/31/2024 at 5:00 PM PT. Questions must be emailed before Bid opening. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
