As of November 6, 2024, the project was awarded to Arnold & Sons, Inc, with an awarded amount of $22,116.54. The scope of work for Contract includes the installation of approximately 185 linear feet of 15" UV CIPP trenchless liner replacement of 20 linear feet of severely corroded pipe at the outfall installation of approximately 18 tons of rip-rap at the outfall to prevent future erosion and all necessary appurtenances for said construction. It is not the intent of this section to delineate or describe every detail and feature of work. All construction work shown on the contract drawings and not expressly mentioned in the specifications and all work specified and not shown on the drawing but reasonably inferable from the Contract Documents or otherwise necessary to the proper execution of same shall be performed by the Contractor as it is not the intent to delineate or describe every detail and feature of work. No additions to the Contract Sum will be approved for any materials equipment and/or labor to perform work hereunder unless it can be clearly shown to be beyond the scope and intent of the drawings and specifications and absolutely essential to the proper execution of the work. All work shall be constructed according to the Contract Drawings and Specifications which are on file at the office of the Owner and Senate Civil Engineers and Surveyors A Division of LSSE U-PARC 420 William Pitt Way Pittsburgh Pennsylvania 15238. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the City. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid made payable to the City of Lower Burrell to guarantee the bidders entrance into the contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans specifications or any applicable statutes of the State of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. Attention is directed to the fact that procurement is subject to all requirements of the Pennsylvania "Steel Products Procurement Act Act No. 1978-3"; and for Contract value exceeding $25000 the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act of 1961 P.L. 987) and The Public Works Employment Verification Act (July 2012) apply. The City shall (a) award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder therefore or (b) reject all bids received within ninety (90) days of the date of bid opening; provided however that the City may in its sole discretion delay such award or rejection for up to one hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date until the City has received all required approvals from other governmental agencies. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
