The Potomac Street Bridge is located approximately 700 feet north of Highway 2 on Potomac Street, latitude 39'54'14" longitude 104'49'40" and exists as the only established means of access for the residential properties north of the bridge to the City's roadway network. The Potomac Street Bridge is located over FRICO's O'Brian Canal. It is critical that theexisting bridge structure be replaced to ensure the safety of users. Potomac Street is designated as a local street from Commerce City HWY-2 to where it terminates, just north of the Potomac Street Bridge. The BSNF railroad has active tracks just south of the bridge. Replacement of the bridge may be occurring with active water flow through the canal.
