Renovation of a communication facility in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a communication facility.
B. The Boston Fire Department is undergoing facility improvements to house its radio communication systems. Ten communication sites require upgrade as part of this specification. The work under this contract shall include the furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment and supplies and the performance of all operations to provide complete working systems and facilities, in general to include the following items; Prime Contractor 1. Telecommunications: Decommission existing antenna and transmission line systems as shown on the contract documents. Install new antenna and transmission line systems as shown on the contract documents. Antennas, transmission line systems and coaxial lightning arrestors shall be furnished by others. Contractor shall furnish and install all antenna mounts, hardware, transmission line cable trays and penetrations. All Telecommunication Systems shall conform to the latest Motorola R56 grounding standards. All equipment decommissioned shall be directed by Boston Fire Department as to their disposal or return to Boston Fire.
