Request for Qualifications for Engineering Services Please be advised the Town of Beech Mountain is seeking proposals from qualified engineering firms to perform professional services related to the damage assessment of a public water supply source lake for the resulting effects of hurricane Helene. Buckeye Lake is an on-stream water reservoir located withing the Town of Beech Mountain. Heavy silting and stream debris have reduced storage volume of the lake as well as the expectation that the drain/outlet structure will need inspection and possible repair. Beech Mountain is seeking to develop an overall assessment of the current hazards, update volumes of water storage capacity, and evaluate the condition of the bottom drainage system as well as inspect overflow and dam structures onsite. Experience with NCDEQ Division of Water infrastructure for Water Supply construction, dredging operations, and hazard assessments are requested.
