**As of December 28, 2024, no bids received. No other information at this time. The Town of Swanzey, NH, with funding from the NH Department of Transportation (NHDOT), and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) proposes to replace the Christian Hill Road Bridge (NHDOT Bridge No. 098/122) that carries Christian Hill Road over the Ashuelot Rail Trail in Swanzey, NH. Based on consultation with the NH State Historic Preservation Officer (NHSHPO) and pursuant to regulations (36 CFR Part 800) and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (54 U.S.C. 306108), the bridge has been determined to be individually eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The bridge is also a contributing element to the West Swanzey Village Historic District, which has also been determined to be eligible for listing on the National Register. In compliance with 23 USC 144: National bridge and tunnel inventory and inspection standards the Town hereby places available for sale the Christian Hill Road Bridge for the purposes of re-use. The term of any resulting contract shall end on April 30, 2025. Technical questions regarding the bid are to be asked in writing and sent to the Town Administrator mbranley@swanzeynh.gov. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all of the proposals.
