Site work and paving for a civil project in Swanzey, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The work includes road reconstruction, drainage and stormwater improvements and associated work. Completion time for the project will be calculated as workdays from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed as follows: 240 calendar days for Substantial Completion 270 calendar days for Final Payment Liquidated damages shall be in the amount of $1,000 for each calendar day beyond the date established for Substantial Completion and $500 for each calendar day beyond the date established for Contract Completion. Bid security is to accompany bid proposals and shall be 5% of the total bid price. The successful bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept the lowest responsive bid, to waive any informality on bids received, and to take any action that it may deem to be in the best interest of the Owner. No award will be made to any bidder who has not been prequalified with NHDOT as published on the "NHDOT Prequalified Contractor's List" at the time of bid opening. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid within 60 days after the actual date of opening thereof. The project is funded in part with Federal funds from a $300,000 Grant under Northern Borders Regional Commission (35% Grant Funds; 65% Local Funds) and a low interest loan ($805,000) from NHDES CWSRF Program The successful Bidder on this work must demonstrate compliance with the Federal MBE/WBE policy in order to be deemed a responsible bidder. The requirements for bidders and contractors covered by this policy are explained in the Information for Bidders and Section D of the Contract Documents. The successful Bidder on this work is required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 entitled "Equal Employment Opportunity" as amended by Executive Order 11375, and amendments or supplements thereto, and as supplemented in Department of Labor Regulations (41 CFR Part 60)". The successful Bidder on this work is subject to U.S. Department of Labor's Davis Bacon wage provisions. The successful Bidder on this work is subject to the "American Iron and Steel (AIS)" requirements of the CWSRF and DWSRF programs. The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations: Underwood Engineers, Inc., 25 Vaughan Mall, Portsmouth, NH 03801-4012 Swanzey Town Office, 620 Old Homestead Hwy, Swanzey, NH 03446 Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents. Contractors must be a registered plan holder with Underwood Engineers to submit a qualified bid proposal. Question deadline - March 24, 2025
