As of December 12, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Bids are invited for construction of grading, concrete sidewalks, driveway, curb cut, concrete gazebo floor and steps (gazebo by others), and site restoration. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified or cashier's check or bid bond with corporate surety payable to the County ofErie in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) ofthe bid price. The project is being undertaken with CDBG funds from the PA Department ofCommunity and Economic Development (DCED). Attention ofthe bidder is called to the requirement to submit documentary evidence of "Minority and Women Business Enterprises" (MBE/WBE) and "Section 3 Business Concerns" which have been contacted and to whom commitments have been made. Documentation ofsuch solicitations is to be submitted concurrently with the bid. Attention ofthe bidder is also called to the Federal, State and County Civil Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements and the Federal Labor Standards Provisions including the requirement to pay prevailing wages under the Davis Bacon and Related Acts. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materialmen Bond each in the amount ofone hundred percent (100%) ofthe contract price. Additionally, the successful bidder will be required to furnish evidence ofWorker's Compensation and Liability Insurance in the amount as required by the contract documents. Bids may be held by the County for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date ofopening bids. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding.
