Outagamie County's IT Department is requesting bids for a contractor to provide and install indoor/outdoor fiber optic cabling extending from the County's Brewster Village location to the Sheriff's Department 911 Building. Brewster Village is located at 3300 W Brewster St in Appleton. The 911 building is located at 3022 E Goodland Dr in Appleton. Any questions that come up and require additional information will be posted online. A contract will be issued no later than end of day December 4, 2024. The awarded contractor must file all bonds and insurance and return the signed contract by end of day December 18, 2024. The awarded contractor will be given 169 calendar days (to May 30, 2025) to achieve substantial completion of the project. Liquidated damages will be assessed to the Contractor at a rate of $250.00 per calendar day for each past the listed substantial completion date for each. Each bid submitted must be accompanied by a bid bond prepared on the surety's standard form duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed in the State of Wisconsin, in the amount of five percent (5%) of your total bid price, payable to the owner as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the successful bidder will execute and file with the owner within ten (10) days from the date the lowest responsible bidders bid is accepted, the required insurance certificate, a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond equal to the contract sum, for the faithful performance of this project, and for the complete payment of all persons either performing labor or furnishing materials for the completion of this project and sign the contract referenced in Section 5.0. Outagamie County has the sole discretion and reserves the right to cancel this bid and to reject any and all bids received prior to award, to waive any or all informalities and or irregularities, or to re-advertise with either an identical or revised specification.
