Renovation of a stadium in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium.

The College of Charleston, Facility Management department requires services to clean and rebuild the cooling towers at TD Arena. Services shall include, but not be limited to, the furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment, tools, superintendence, and miscellaneous items, and performing all work necessary to complete all work to the satisfaction of, and subject to the approval of the Facilities Management Department of The College of Charleston. The tower must be locked out and drained completely to complete scope of work o Replace mechanical equipment support beam & motor bracket o Remove deteriorated mechanical equipment cross supports in (2) cells and install new OEM galvanized supports to include all required hardware to install. o The fan assembly, shaft & bearings, and motor must be removed from the tower to install the mechanical equipment support. o New fan shaft and bearings will be installed to include a new fan sheave with bushing and belt o Existing motor and fan assembly will be reused o Once new components are installed, align sheaves, and ensure proper operation of mechanical equipment. o Provide and install (2) new vibration switches. Remove fill media, drift eliminators and louvers, discard in a container furnished by contractor Install new OEM fill media, drift eliminators and air-inlet louver media into (2) cells of cooling tower to include new fill supports. o While media is removed, the fill-area casing panels will be profiled and coated with an asphalt extended urethane to promote extended component life and leak-free performance. o During inspection if the fill area casing panels are found to be in good condition and can be salvaged. If any significant rust is found on the interior of subject panels, they will be patched prior to coating. If not found in good condition replace. Coat the stainless-steel cold-water basin seams with asphalt extended urethane to promote leak-free performance. Inspect and clean the branch arms of the water distribution system and install new grommets. The interior plenum area will also be pressure washed to remove biological buildup. Any scale buildup that is not removed via pressure-washing will remain. o Clean sump and sump strainer o Start tower and check for proper operation. o All work to be completed during normal business hours. o Mobilization of crane and rigger if needed.
