Site work for a civil project in Glouster, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of September 25, 2025, construction is complete. Athens County is in the process of conducting an environmental review for the following activities: Sunday Creek Water District - Residential Public Infrastructure Program 1. Water Facility Improvement The proposed project consists of the installation of approximately11,000 linear feet of waterline, repainting three tanks to stop contamination, and install new telemetry at two tanks and one pump station to better track water and complete essential repairs more efficiently. This notice is required by Section 2(a)(4) of Executive Order 11988for Floodplain Management, and is implemented by HUD Regulations found at 24 CFR 55.20(b) for any action that is within and/ or affects a floodplain. As currently proposed, the project sites are located in areas designated as floodplain. Athens County alternatives regarding sponsorship of these actions would be: 1. Approval as proposed; 2. Disapproval; 3. Approval only if all improvements are located outside of the floodplain; 4. Approval of an equivalent project site located outside of the floodplain; and 5. Approval only if no fill is added in floodplain areas.
