The Town of Edgartown is seeking competitive bids from qualified landscaping and irrigation firms for annual maintenance of seven (7) town properties. The properties include Hall Memorial Park, the Edgartown Library, the Council on Aging, the Whale Tail Park, the Edgartown Memorial Park (Cannonball Park), the Police Station and the Yellow House Park. Maintenance Activities include, but are not limited to: Spring and Fall Clean-up, Mowing and Trimming, Garden Maintenance. The Irrigation duties include spring commissioning and fall decommissioning of the irrigation system. A one (1) year contract, with two (2) one (1) year options to renew at the sole discretion of the Town, is being offered. The contract is subject to the appropriation of funding for this purpose. The Awarding Authority will be the Town of Edgartown. The Scope of Services, any published addenda to the IFB and the Bidder's Response will become part of the Contract between the Town of Edgartown and the successful bidder. The bidder shall be familiar with all state, local and other laws relating to this type of work and shall obtain all permits and licenses required and shall pay all expenses for same. Award will be made within ten (10) days after the bid opening. This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B, and all contracts must be strictly awarded in accordance with the requirements of MGL Ch. 30B and the Invitation for Bids. If it becomes necessary to revise any part of the IFB or otherwise provide additional information, an addendum will be issued to all prospective bidders who received copies of the original request. The Town of Edgartown reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in its best interest.
