Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in New Britain, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The scope of work consists of the full replacement of traffic signal equipment at the intersection of South Street at Rocky Hill Avenue and Roosevelt Street in New Britain. Furthermore, the work includes construction of ADA compliant sidewalk ramps and crosswalks, installation of pavement markings and signs, maintenance and protection of traffic during construction and the maintenance of vehicular and pedestrian access to abutting properties and, unless otherwise directed by the Engineer, uninterrupted and acceptable operation at all times. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or any part of a bid presented, or to invite proposals as its interest may appear. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or by a certified check of the bidder in the amount of TEN percent (10%) of the total bid amount, payable to the City of New Britain. The bidder awarded the Contract shall, at the time of signing the Contract, submit an executed Performance Bond and Labor & Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount in accordance with C.G.S. 49-41 and Instruction to Bidders No. 17.
