Renovation of a residential development in Fall River, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

Project Removal of the existing gas fired boiler and indirect fired water heater with new condensing gas fired combination boiler/water heater in 25 residential units. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Question Deadline 10/29/2024 Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, specifications, drawings, etc., must request it at least 7 days before the scheduled time for bid opening A. The work to be done under this contract consists of replacement of the existing gas fired boilers and water heater with new combination gas fired boiler and water heater and associated piping to reconnect to existing connections in twenty-five (25) occupied units. B. The work to be done also includes but not limited to: 1. Wiring of new electrical equipment. 2. Reconnection to the existing controls. 3. Startup and Venting of the new equipment. 4. Cutting and patching. 5. Associated roofing patching work. C. The General Contractor shall be responsible for all aspects of the project, except as otherwise provided by specific indication herein or on the drawings, necessary to complete the work in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, tools, water, machinery, implements, light, power, transportation, and other facilities required, and do all work necessary for the complete execution and completion of the Contract, except that work or materials specifically stated to be done or furnished by others. D. All work and materials furnished and installed shall be of the best quality and workmanship, and to the satisfaction of the Architect. There shall be no defect in the work or the operation due to inferior materials or workmanship. The work under this contract shall be performed at such times as may be necessary to facilitate the orderly progress of the work. It is the intention of these Specifications and Plans to cover all work necessary and incidental to the completion of this project, including all trades, as shown on the drawings or specified. E. All work to be completed as part of this project will be performed in occupied units during the heating season. All work shall be completed in an expedited manner to allow minimal time inside of the occupied unit. All work shall be completed within five (5) business days from demolition in the unit to start-up of the new equipment located for each unit. It is in the best interest of the Contractor to complete as much work off-site as possible Question Deadline 1st Nov 2024
