The Project consists of: Demolition of selective wall and floor construc- tion and finishes, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical, and bathroom fixtures. Installation of new work to provide accessible renovations at 14 bathrooms at 3 separate developments. Alternate No. 1 Walk-In Shower Renovations at Unit 202 Phillips 705- 5. Alternate No. 2 Walk-In Shower Renovations at Unit 807 Charter Street 667-5. Alternate No. 3 Walk-In Shower Renovations at Unit 1007 Charter Street 667-5 & Unit 203 Phillips 705-5. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Man- agement and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the category of GENERAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates) and made payable to the Salem Housing Authority. General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women busi- ness enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), for- merly known as SOMWBA. The combined participation goal reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 13% percent of the final contract price including accepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to DHCD (david.mcclave@mass.gov) 5 calendar days prior to the Gen- eral Bid date. NO WAIVERS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER THE GENERAL BIDS ARE OPENED.
