The City of Gustine, herein called the "OWNER", is hereby requesting sealed proposals for construction of the "Schmidt Park Trail Slurry Seal" Project. Construction consists primarily of crack sealing, placing a Type II slurry seal and applying paint/striping to the trail pavement in accordance with the description, drawings, specifications, and details in this Request for Proposal (RFP). engineer's Estimate $53,400 Notice of Award : November 5, 2024 Notice to proceed : November 12, 2024 Time to complete project : 15 Working Days after the date of the Notice to Proceed. Date for completion is December 13, 2024. (tentative) Liquidated damages : $250.00 The project work will take place at the Schmidt Park Trail in the City of Gustine. The work consists primarily of furnishing and applying pavement crack sealing, furnishing and placing approximately 38 tons of slurry seal, and furnishing and applying paint striping as shown on the attached drawings. Proposal shall include all material, equipment and labor costs required to complete the work. Each proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the OWNER at 352 Fifth Street, Gustine, California 95322. Each sealed envelope containing a proposal must be plainly marked on the outside as "Schmidt Park Trail Slurry Seal", and the envelope should bear on the outside, the name of the CONTRACTOR, his address, and his contractor's license number. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the proposal must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the OWNER at PO Box 16, Gustine, California 95322. Emailed and faxed submittals will not be accepted. All proposals must be made on the attached Bid Schedule. All blank spaces for BID prices must be filled in, in ink or typewritten, and the Bid Schedule must be fully completed when submitted unless otherwise indicated. Only one copy of the Bid Schedule is required. The proposal must also include filled out Contractor's Certification Regarding Worker's Compensation Insurance and List of Subcontractors forms included in the RFP. The OWNER may waive any informalities or minor irregularities or reject any and all proposals. In accordance with the provision of Section 3300 of the Public Contract Code, at the time this contract is awarded, the Contractor shall possess a Class A or C-12 California State Contractor's License. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates in the county, or counties, in which the work is to be done have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations.
