Renovation of an educational facility in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Board of Education of the Pine-Richland School District will receive separate sealed proposals for: HVAC Replacements at Richland Elementary School, under multiple Prime Contracts. The School District is utilizing an Owner Controller Insurance Program (OCIP) for this project. Under this approach, Contractors and Subcontractors must remove the cost of Owner provided insurance from the Base Bid price. The lowest responsible bidder will be determined on a "net of insurance" basis. In other words, the Base Bid is to be identified by the Contractor excluding costs and expenses for General Liability, Umbrella/Excess Liability, Workers' Compensation, and Builder's Risk Insurance as delineated in the contract documents. Alternate Bids and Unit Prices are also to be set forth excluding cost for such insurance. The Owner will select which alternates it desires and will determine the low bidder based upon the bids without insurance being provided by the Contractor. Write "24005.2 Deposit" in the Memo line and include a request on company letterhead that includes your firm name, contact person's name, email address, UPS shipping address (no PO Box numbers), phone and fax numbers. Deposit will be returned provided Bidding Documents are returned to Printscape within ten calendar days of bidding date, in good usable condition, and a Bona Fide Bid is received by the School District; otherwise deposit will be forfeited. Shipping charges are not refundable. Each bid must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total of the Base Bid; and by a Non-Collusion Affidavit, Qualification Questionnaire, and a Pennsylvania Certificate of Authority (if applicable). Project is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented. Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or parts thereof or items therein and to waive any informality in the bidding. Prime Bidders will be required to REGISTER to receive notification of Addenda and project information updates, and to obtain access privileges to online. Questions pertaining to the content of the Bidding Documents shall be directed to Mr. Rob Herlihy, Tower Engineering, by email at rherlihy@tower-engineering.com and copy to Terri Hoover, Eckles Construction Services, by email at tkh@ecklesgroup.com. Questions must be submitted using the Pre-Bid RFI form available online. Phone calls will not be accepted. Concurrent Work: Owner reserves the right to award separate contract(s) for other construction operations at Project site. Those operations may be conducted simultaneously with work under this Contract. Completion of that work may depend on successful completion of preparatory work under this Contract. Cooperate fully with separate contractors so work may be carried out smoothly, without interfering with or delaying work under this Contract. Coordinate the Work of these Contracts with work performed under separate contracts if applicable. Future Work: Owner may elect to award separate contracts, including but not limited to, the following additional work to be performed at site prior to Substantial Completion. Completion of that work will depend on successful completion of preparatory work under this Contract.
