Rio Grande Water Conservation District is requesting design/build proposals from qualified General Contractors for the construction of a new garage and workshop. The project is located at 8805 Independence Way in Alamosa, CO. The project scope consists of a new garage with a workshop. The Project is for the design and construcon of a garage and workshop. Project work may include, but not limited to, the following: Bring Project site to grade Pave remaining parking lot Runoff from building roof should be handled in a manner consistent with local building codes Framing may be either wood or metal Concrete flooring in building Floor Drain in building Concrete entrance to garage Roof material similar to exisng office building Garage space for 5 vehicles (including four (4) full size crew cab pickups and large SUV)-doors should not include windows Workshop space with shelving and a large workbench Small restroom with toilet and sink Garage door and entry door into workshop area (no windows) Entry door into garage area Interior and exterior lighng Windows to allow natural lighng and solar gains (at least 7 feet above finished floor level) The Rio Grande Water Conservation District retains the right to reject or accept any proposal based on the best interests of the Owner.
