Renovation and Modernization of the Clay County Tax Collectors' Office The scope encompasses selective demolition, interior remodeling, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) upgrades, and exterior improvements. The primary objectives are to enhance both public and employee spaces, ensuring compliance with the Florida Building Codes (2023, 8th Edition), Accessibility Standards, NFPA standards, and the Florida Energy Conservation Code. The Clay County Board of County Commissioners (County) is requesting bids from licensed General Contractors for the comprehensive renovation and modernization of the Clay County Tax Collector's Office located at 518 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida, 32073. This project includes a full renovation of a single-story, mixed-occupancy, non-sprinklered structure. This Bid requires a five (5%) percent Bid Bond. The Bid Bond is required to be uploaded within the Supplier Questionnaire. If submitting a Cashier or Certified Check, it must be uploaded with the Bids Supplier Questionnaire and the Original Cashier or Certified Check must be received by the Purchasing Department no later than two (2) business days after the RFB due date (Original Cashier or Certified Check due date listed below) The Board reserves the right and power to reject any and all Bids without cause and to waive technical and non-technical or non-material defects in the Request for Bids or submittal of any Bid, and in its discretion to re-advertise the Request for Bids. The Board reserves the right to award Request for Bids which would be in the Best Interest of the County. Interested vendors are advised that the Clay County Board of County Commissioners has a local preference policy and Buy American policy. Question Deadline 11/25/2024 at 4:00 PM ET All question through Online Scope of Work: 1. Renovation of existing interior spaces including but not limited to demolition of selective, walls and wall finishes, ceilings, and ceiling fixtures, floor finishes, cabinets, MEP fixtures and associated pipes, ducts, electrical fixtures, outlets and wiring, doors, and windows. Demolition includes the removal of an interior storefront window and an exterior storefront window (exterior to be replaced with new storefront entrance/exit door and sidelight to full opening space). New remodeling is divided into two separate spaces: a. Area A: includes tax office, millwork, toilet rooms, offices, and customer spaces. b. Area B: includes employee training room, break room, call rooms, data and secure storage rooms and remodeled toilet rooms.
