Industrial Mechanical Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Contractor Services The Contract will be for an initial term of one year and may contain a provision for an extension of the initial term for an additional one year term. Exercise of the option to extend the term of the Contract will be based on continued funding, the results of an evaluation of the services provided, and the County's subjective satisfaction with the Contractor's performance. The County will treat all information submitted in a proposal as available for public inspection once the County has completed negotiations with a contractor. Question Deadline 11/08/2024 at 2:00 PM PT The following scope of services is included as a guide and designed to identify the minimum service level expected of the successful Contractor. Each Project will have an individual Scope of Work, detailing materials and price and be mutually agreed to between Contractor and Facilities Management. In no event shall materials be ordered, or work commenced until a "Notice to Proceed' is issued by Facilities Management. The Contractor shall perform services necessary to maintain, repair, adjust and calibrate all miscellaneous HVAC systems to include but not be limited to The scope of work, materials type, and the project price shall be agreed to in writing between the Contractor and Facilities Management. A purchase order number shall be issued prior to the commencement of each project and shall be considered a notice to proceed ("Notice to Proceed") with the work. Bidders are required to bid hourly rates that include all costs that bidders are expected to incur in the performance of the Work. Specified costs to be included in the hourly rates shall include, but not be limited to: All labor required to perform the Work with trained personnel; Payment of prevailing wage labor rates for Shasta County at a minimum; All legally mandated costs associated with the Work (e.g., employer payroll taxes, obligations pursuant to any applicable collective bargaining agreements, et al.). The County shall deem bids nonresponsive if hourly rates fall below the minimum prevailing wage rates for the minimum classification for each type of worker. The daily overtime rates apply whenever the work performed exceeds eight (8) hours during one (1) calendar day, or forty (40) hours per week. Saturday, Sunday, and Holiday premium rates apply for hours worked on each of those days as specified in the applicable prevailing wage determination. Summary The County of Shasta, through its Department of Support Services, Purchasing Unit, invites responses to a Request for Quotes (RFQ) from experienced and qualified vendors to furnish at the County's written direction, all labor, equipment and materials required to provide repair, maintenance and installation services for HVAC systems for a number of public works projects. These projects will be performed on an as needed basis. No single public works project shall exceed $60,000 and shall include all costs for materials, labor, travel and overhead. No single project may be split into two or more parts in an attempt to bring each part under the $60,000 limit.
