Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Brighton, Colorado. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
This covers the design and construction of a new Municipal Service Center to house Public Works, Parks and Recreation, and Utilities operations. This will provide service efficiencies and operational savings. Ongoing Operating Impact: There will be additional operating costs associated with a new City-owned facility, including the costs to repair and maintain the building and its utilities costs. An additional custodian position was added in 2025 to maintain this building as well as other new facilities. As of March 7, 2025, this project is included in the City of Brighton's Fiscal Year 2025-2029 CIP. Further information regarding a design firm and timeline for construction has not yet been established. Funding is allotted for FY 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
